Late 2024, Singapore. I visited Gardens by the Bay with my family. Looking down from the skywalk, the massive leaves spreading out in every direction looked like a vibrant, lush pattern. I loved how the people walking among them felt like a natural part of the scenery.
When I first started this piece, I wasn't happy with it, so I set it aside for quite a while. But then, I ended up finishing it in just a short time during a flight. It’s fascinating how some drawings just come together like a surprise gift.
2024년 연말, 가족과 함께 싱가폴에서 방문한 가든스 바이 더 베이(gardens by the bay).
구조물에 올라서 구경하다 아래를 내려다보니 사방으로 뻗은 커다란 잎들이 패턴처럼 보여 싱그럽고 예뻤다.
그 사이로 지나가는 사람들의 모습도 자연스럽게 어우러져서 좋았다.
처음 이 그림을 그릴 때 생각보다 마음에 안들어서 한참을 미뤄뒀었는데 여행가는 비행기 안에서 길지 않은 시간동안 완성했다.
가끔씩은 이렇게 선물처럼 그려지기도 하는게 참 신기하다.
